You were born to succeed. You have always known your divine purpose. Your destiny is calling you. Take this opportunity to discover the life you were meant to live.

So Nancy, we’ll start your Interview with the very first question

1.Please introduce and tell the readers something about yourself.

I am a retired psychotherapist and lifelong mystic. I’ve been fascinated by the human spirit my whole life. I am trained in spiritual psychology and metaphysics, and I used modalities from both disciplines in my counseling practice.
My passion is helping people develop their full potential. It is said that 50-90% of that potential is contained in our spiritual makeup.

2.What brought you to writing?

When I retired from private practice, I wanted to continue to share with people and help them create the life they’ve always wanted. So I started my book and my blog.

3.How long have you been writing?

Not long, really. Only about four years.

4.Which was your first literary project? Tell us something about it.

My first project was my book, called, You Were Born to Succeed: Finding Your Purpose through Numerology. I wrote it to help people understand who they are, what they’re doing here, and where they are going. I wrote it also to demystify the occult and help people see ancient metaphysical science as a practical source for living successfully in the 21st century. Quantum physics is helping us understand the truth of ancient wisdom. We are discovering that physical science and metaphysical science are two sides of the same coin.

5.Is this your new/latest project?

Actually, my blog came after my book, so I guess you could say that is my latest project.

6. Traditional books or e-books? How do you prefer to see your works published? Have you tried ever publishing the traditional way?

I started out in the traditional way looking for agents and publishers. After several months of sending out query letters and proposals, one of the agents I contacted said she liked the book but she wasn’t sure if she could sell it because I didn’t have a presence on the Internet. So I started my blog and self-published my book in e-book formats. I’d like to be published in print as well, so I haven’t ruled out traditional publishing.

7.Can you give a chapter sample preview of your book here for our readers to know more about it.

Here are 3 excerpts, I thought you might want to pick the one you find most interesting or relevant. I tried to choose the ones that would give a feel for the book. These are from Part I, which explains how numerology works. Part II contains the technology for calculating your Chaldean Soul Chart, along with interpretations of the numbers.
( Please look at the bottom of the interview for book excerpts )

8.What are your hobbies?Things that you enjoy doing besides books of course.

I love to read; also draw and paint. I love movies, music, and singing. I have a cat that runs to me when I sing and stares at me in saucer-eyed puzzlement. Sometimes she meows along. It’s too funny. I love animals, and I love horseback riding. Reading on the beach, socializing, and eating seafood are favorite things to do. I used to travel a lot, and I still like to, and I like to shop.

9.Who is your favourite author?

I’m a Gemini, and it’s hard for us to pick just one. Amy Tan is one of my favorites, Charles Dickens, Jonathan Safran Foer, Dave Barry, Will James, Dr. Oliver Sacks, Isabel Allende, David Sedaris, and more.

10.What is your favourite genre to read and also to write?

I write non-fiction about my most inspiring subject: the human spirit. Probably my favorite genre to read is biography. I love reading about how people think, their lifestyles, and how they accomplished their dreams.

11.Do you have a role model that you get inspiration from?

Many of the people whose biographies I’ve read have been role models; Jack Benny, Carl Reiner, Elizabeth Taylor, Eleanor of Aquitaine. These fascinating people lived their purpose with style, grace, and authenticity. My father and my favorite aunt are role models for me, as well, for their humor, intelligence, and classiness.

12.Where do get your ideas from? Do you take your story ideas from real life situations?

My ideas come from my passions; what makes people tick, metaphysics, intuition, human potential. I use real life situations. Non-fiction is all about reality.

13. Do you have a pseudonym?

14.Whats your experience been like in the publishing industry?Postive or negative? Please share your experience with our readers.

My attempt at traditional publishing was frustrating because I couldn’t find an agent, and the process is slow. It takes a year or so from the time an agent accepts your book to the time your book is on the market. Self publishing has been a challenge with technology, but I found some very capable people to help me, and the support and author communities on Kindle and Smashwords have been great. I like self publishing because the book is instantly available, and you get help with marketing from the publishers and the author community.

15.Where do you see yourself 10years from now?

I hope to have been a best-selling author for several years 10 years from now. Basically, I want to spend the rest of my life writing and painting. I’d like to illustrate the print version of my book.

16. What motivates you to write?

Sharing with people how magnificent they are.

17. How important is good cover art for your books?

I think the cover is as important as the content of the book. It’s the cover that attracts people. It should communicate the essence of the book through design and color.

18. Do you have a price strategy for your books?

No. I’m not a very good strategist. And it shows in my marketing. Still working on that.

19. How does it make you feel when you read a bestselling book that you don’t feel is as good as yours?

I am instantly tempted to write a bad romance novel. I could easily write as badly as some of those best-sellers. But the moment passes.

20.Why do you think readers should buy your book? What can you offer them through your book?

Anyone who is bored with their life, anyone who feels empty inside, who feels there’s something missing despite success, anyone who hates their job or has lost their direction can benefit from my book. These are symptoms of looking for purpose and meaning. You are here for a reason. Subconsciously, you know this. If you are not living your purpose, you are living in stress. My book teaches you how to reveal your life purpose in a matter of hours. Living your purpose is the key to happiness.

21.Where is your book available? Any Buy Link for our readers?

My book is available here:
Smashwords >>
Nook >>
Kindle >>

22.Do you have a website or a blog that you’d like to share here.

23. What advice would you give to other writers?

The main thing I’ve learned from writing is just to write. Don’t worry about doing it right (no pun intended). Also important – writing takes discipline. Set aside a time to write every day, even if it’s only for 15 minutes. If you don’t have something to write about, just start writing about that – “I don’t know what to write about ……” Just keep going. Sooner or later it will take form. And you just might be surprised at where it leads you.

24.Anything else you’d like to share with our readers

You are a magnificent amalgamation of talent, wisdom, and ability. Why not express yourself fully? Discover your life purpose and live it every day.

  • Thank you Nancy Fairbrother for gracing us with your presence. It was a sheer pleasure.Good luck with your book.We conclude the interview here

    Thanks again from Team MusikDIV

You Were Born to Succeed: Finding Your Purpose Through Numerology By Nancy Fairbrother

You have a mission. If you live your mission, you will be happy, healthy, and prosperous all your life. You were born with all the talents and gifts you need to accomplish your mission. What’s more, you have put in place an ingenious system for continuous refinement and maximum enjoyment while creating the life you want.
Your presence on Earth is vitally important. When you are living in harmony with your identity, expressing your magnificence, you are a blessing to the earth and everyone on it. Numerology is one way to discover the magnificence of your life and the value of your presence on Earth.
You were born with qualities that shape your life and act as keys to your success. Before your arrival on Earth, you placed a code here to help you unlock your special qualities and use them for your growth and fulfillment. You had help placing the code where you could find it easily. The code is in your birth name and birth date. This book will show you how to break that code and clearly reveal your keys to fulfillment and success. In your deepest feelings, you already know what your purpose is. Seeing it unfold in your numerology profile will confirm the awareness you’ve had since birth.

    Chapter 2: What Is Numerology?

Numerology is both a science and an art. It is an ancient technology that uses numbers to map the soul’s purpose and to show the way to a fulfilling life. Your Chaldean Soul Chart represents the instruction book you brought with you when you entered into life on planet Earth.
There are two schools of numerology, Chaldean and Pythagorean. Pythagorean is named after the Greek philosopher and mathematician, Pythagoras, and is the more widely-known of the two. However, the history of numerology goes back to the Chaldeans, (ancient Babylonians) centuries before Pythagoras was born.

Chapter 4: Spiritual Principles that Drive Us

There are some basic premises that I feel are important to understanding how numerology works. They are sometimes called Universal Laws and demonstrate the inseparability of the spiritual and the material worlds. Some ideas may feel right to you. If there are some things that don’t fit for you, I invite you to put them on a shelf and continue reading.
I think the most important thing I have learned is that I am a soul with a body, not a body with a soul. You and I are spiritual beings having a physical experience. According to Quantum Physics (and spiritual masters since the beginning of time), you are energy vibrating at a certain frequency. If you put an object under the right kind of microscope, you would not see a solid mass; you would see vibrating light. You can see your body with your naked eye because its energy is vibrating at the slower frequency that is in harmony with the physical world. Some people can see, with the naked eye, the spiritual energy that radiates from your body. They are known as clairvoyant and they call this energy your aura.
Your spirit drives your body. In computer-speak, your body is the hardware; your spirit is the software that drives it. Dr. Daniel Amen, the well-known psychiatrist and brain imaging pioneer, says, “The brain is the hardware of the soul.”

Thanks, Nancy. I don’t know if I replied before or not. I’ve been pretty disorganized about promotion, but I am changing that. I trust all is well with you. Haven’t been by your blog lately, but now that I’m getting more organized I expect to be visiting on a regular basis.
