So Jeck, we’ll start your Interview with the very first question:

1. Please introduce and tell the readers something about yourself.

-I am jeck Viason, a newbie author, my pen name is JD Viason. I am currently employed and yet at the same time allotted time to write for my novel which will come in series.

2. What brought you to writing?

-it was the readers and the movie goers that brought me into writing. I was too much concern on how to entertain the people in the future, since there were so many good fictional books but it seems that there aren’t much nice fictional stories. So, i began to wrote again, to see if the readers will like my fictional story.

2. How many books have you written?

-Today, I have written only the first book and is currently being published at amazon for e-book version. Though during my highschool days I have writtend three 100 pages pad notebooks in handwritten version. It was unpublished though and it was written in local language. It was a fictional lovestory and my readers before where only my classmates and friends and even teachers but it was history as it was a decade ago.

3. How long have you been writing?

-Officially writing? I am newbie, but if by hobby, I have been writing for almost a decade though not everyday, but whenever thoughts come to my mind. I sat in a computer and starts typing and coming up on a story.

5. Which was your first literary project?Tell us something about it.

-“Lighthouse” was my first literary project., in terms of much effort. Before I have come up with the story. I had to consider my target readers and what will be the status of it in the market and also the competition. However, it seems, to have gone too far, as I ended up writing only and researching before I plot the whole story. It was funny, it was like I was working for a publishing house as a writer though it was only a hobby and chill time for me in reality.

6. Is this your new/latest project? What inspired you to write your (latest) book?

-What inspires me is the challenge that my book will be facing. It was a fictional love story but when you get to see/read the title “Lighthouse”. One would think that it was a ghost/crime scene story.

7. Traditional books or e-books? How do you prefer to see your works published? Have you tried ever publishing the traditional way?

-I prefer both, for as long as it would reach my readers in the future. Although, this upcoming march, I may have the traditional books on sale locally here in manila. Self publishing is costly for oneself.

8. Can you give a chapter sample preview of your book here for our readers to know more about it.

( Please look at the bottom of the interview for book excerpts )

9. Do you have any funny / interesting incidents on how you came up with plots or characters?

-I like playing tennis, and I am a movie fan too of most recent movies on the market.

11. Who is your favourite author?

-My favorite author is Stephenie Myers and Dan Brown. I like their fictional novels, it brings me ideas that are beyond existence in our reality.

12. Is your writing style at all influenced by those of your favorite authors?

-Actually, part of it. I admire them for writing only what their mind can say and translating it to human language so that the readers would understand what they would want to say.

13. What is your favourite genre to read and also to write?

-fictional/Romance

14. Do you have a role model that you get inspiration from?

-Actually, I have non yet, but when I do. You’d be the first to know.

16. Do you have a pseudonym?

-My pen name is “JD Viason”

17.Whats your experience been like in the publishing industry?Postive or negative? Please share your experience with our readers.

-Negative and Positive, Negative in terms of the cost that the publishing firm would charge you just to be able to publish your work. Positive is that when you received good comments about your work from the publishing firm itself.

18. Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

-Am seeing myself sitting beside the stars who will portray the characters of my novel and doing filming/shooting on it. Hehe I dream of it.

19. What motivates you to write?

-I only wanted to share the world a good story to inspire them during their breaks even it would means a short break.

20. How important is good cover art for your books?

-Cover art for my books should be something that somebody wouldn’t think it is even there, but for the current, I get positive response on my recent cover art. It was like bubbles coming up, but the title itself did not even say about it. But in order for you to know why it was like that, you have to read it first hehe.

21. Do you have a price strategy for your books?

-For e-book version, I put it on a cheaper price so that it would reach people easily.

22. How does it make you feel when you read a bestselling book that you don’t feel is as good as yours?

-I don’t usually think that way, whenver I read a bestselling book, it was always a best selling, I mean, no question why it would sell up high coz the content is good enough.
