Delhi registers over 25,000 entries for Indian Idol 6 auditions

The sixth season of singing reality show Indian Idol kick-started its auditions with over 25,000 entries in NCR region, forcing the organisers to close the registrations.

Delhi marked the beginning of the auditioning process to be followed by other cities like Lucknow (5 April), Ahmedabad (9 April), Rajkot (15 April), Aurangabad (22 April) and finally culminating in Mumbai (18-19 May). Mini Mathur and Hussain Kuwajerwala are anchoring the audition rounds.

The show has seen a total of 1,50,000 registrations through SMS and online for its auditions across all the cities. Sunidhi Chauhan, Anu Malik and Salim Merchant are the judges for this season. Merchant tweeted, “Had an awesome day of audition in Delhi. Indian Idol 6 is gonna see some incredible talent.”
